The Gilbert Lake Association is a group of lake residents interested in the wise recreational use of this natural resource while preserving water quality.  Gilbert Lake covers 369 acres with 7.8 miles of shoreline and a maximum depth of 45 feet.  There is a public landing on the north side of the lake on Gilbert Lake Road.  Fish include Northern Pike, Blue Gill, Bass, and Crappie.  Everyone is urged to use the lake in a responsible way, including cleaning boats and trailers to prevent the spread of invasive species.  Think Postive Test Negative 

 

Membership Payment:  Annual Dues are $50 per family.  You can up it with a voluntary contribution.  We have a couple options for payment:

May 3, 2021:  The bog on Lake Three has moved to block the channel entrance.  Some change on May 16th.  Details

January 1, 2021:  Happy New Year and Goodbye to Virus Ridden 2020. 

December 22, 2020:  Scott Engelstad reports he has started grooming a cross-country trail around the lake.  The trail is for non-motorized traffic.   He asks snowmobilers and four-wheelers to cross the trail at a 90 degree angle to minimize the requirement for additional grooming.  Details

December 15, 2020: The Trust for Public Land closed today on their acquisition of the 65 acre Sandberg parcel near the landing.  Details.


November 12, 2020:  Another bog appeared at the entrance to Gilbert Lake Three.  Details

July 2020:  Watch for Eurasian Watermilfoil and other Aquatic Invasive Species.  Check your place on Gilbert Lake.  Details

June 2020:  The Gilbert Lake level has been rising.  In 2019, the lake level is 2.2 feet above a previous recorded high in 1996.  A Department of Natural Resources .pdf graph shows the history.
